Later assumed the role of Civil Division estimator that required me to estimate full time.

Estimator for bridge, site work, sewer and water projects. Also performed project buyouts and office engineering duties including CAD drafting, temporary designs and scheduling.

November 1991 to June 1992

Laid off from Colwell Construction, Inc., I did some consulting engineering for several companies.

Colwell Construction Co., Inc. - July 1988 to October 1991

Senior Project Manager and, in 1990, promoted to Vice President in charge of all bridge construction as well as Corporate Safety Officer. Responsible for estimating and managing bridge construction and heavy concrete work.

Cianbro Corporation - January 1985 to June 1988

Lead Estimator in the Bridge Estimating Section. Duties included complete estimating responsibilities. If successful low bidder, I was assigned to a project startup team to buy out, schedule and otherwise set up the project for the construction management team.

In 1986 I was the Project Engineer on the 3 megawatt, $ 3.5 million Benton Falls Hydroelectric Project.

Reed & Reed, Inc. - June 1974 to December 1984

In 1974 to 1976 I spent much of the time working in the field learning all phases of bridge construction.
In 1976 to 1984 I moved into the Woolwich office and was responsible for operations management and engineering.
